USL Conversation

Monday June 16, 2008

USL Atlanta Silverbacks Women’s coach Tony Anglin first witnessed Lyndsey Patterson’s energy and play-making creativity last year when she faced off against the Silverbacks in the 2007 W-League semifinals, where she was the Seattle Sounder’s best in the Silverbacks’ 4-1 win. One of the University of Tennessee’s most heralded players, Patterson joined the Silverbacks for 2008 on Anglin’s urging from her hometown club to provide a midfield spark. She has certainly done her job. Roaming the right flank she has tallied three goals and two assists, earning her Best 11 honors twice. We recently sat down with her to get to learn a little more about what makes this dynamic player tick.
