Lyndsey Patterson Joins Philadelphia

The Philadelphia Independence is proud to announce the addition of  University of Tennessee standout Lyndsey Patterson to the 2010 team roster. Lyndsey Patterson, who was a member of the Regular Season Champions Los Angeles Sol this past WPS season. Lyndsey, originally from Puyallup, Washington, finished her career with at the University of Tennessee ranked seventh all-time in scoring (64 points), eighth in goals (20), and sixth in assists (24). With the Volunteers, she was a three-time All-SEC Selection and was named to the 2004 NSCAA/adidas All-Central Region Third Team. After graduation, Lyndsey played for both the Seattle Sounders and the Atlanta Silverbacks of the USL W-League before being acquired by the Sol as a free agent in 2009. GM Foley is optimistic about Lyndsey’s potential with the Independence: “Lyndsey is a consistent player who can be very dangerous going forward. She made an impact against Sky Blue when she entered the match in the 2009 WPS finals, and we hope that she can be a big contributor for us this coming season.”
