Two WPFC Alumnae were selected to the 2009 Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC) Women’s Soccer all-star team from Saint Martin’s University.

Forward Jill Webb earned first-team honors. Webb was second in the conference in points (28), goals (11) and shots (79). She led the team in all three categories along with assists (6) and shots on goal (50).

“Jill’s second year in the conference was pretty challenging as her work in the first year was well remembered and she was a “marked woman” in every match we played,” said Walker. “Nonetheless, she did a great job continuing to score goals and provide for others all year long.”.

Jenny Baker earned honorable mention was the lone Saints selected honorable mention.

“Jenny is a very gifted player who plays with a tremendous work rate and is an excellent passer of the ball. Jenny’s competitiveness and ambition to assert herself was critical in several games where she “willed” herself to be a part of goal scoring combinations,” said Walker.
