Make a Gift and Make a Difference

During the next decade, Washington Premier F.C. will emerge as a high quality, selective, financially sound premier soccer club with the best and most sought-after soccer training in Washington state. We ask that you join us, as partners, in our pursuit to achieve this vision. You can begin your investment in Washington Premier’s future by lending your support to the Club in general, to the Scholarship Fund or the program of your choice. Options available to you are through an endowment or unrestricted gift, directly or by pledge.

Some individuals have the additional benefit of having their employer match their contribution, keeping in mind that Washington Premier is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. You may wish to retain a direct interest in your gift, or to give through your estate. If so, other choices are available to you.

Planned Giving Options
Whatever option you choose, your gift to Washington Premier is very much appreciated. It is only through gifts such as yours that Washington Premier will attain its vision. If you’d like more information about planned giving, please contact Seth Spidahl, our Technical Director at (253) 376-7687.

Bequests Under a Will
One example of a planned gift that can make a lasting difference is a bequest under a will or living trust. You may bequeath property or another specific asset, a fixed sum of money or a percentage of your estate. If your estate is subject to tax, your gift to charity reduces the amount of tax your estate must pay. If your will or living trust includes a gift to Washington Premier, you and your attorney should feel free to contact Seth Spidahl, our Technical Director. He can help ensure that your gift supports the program that you choose.

Life Insurance
There are two ways of making a gift of life insurance. You can name Washington Premier as the beneficiary of all or a portion of a life insurance policy. The policy proceeds will support a program of your choice and the amount given to the Club may reduce your estate tax bill. You will be entitled to an income tax charitable deduction for the value of the policy on the date of the transfer and you will be entitled to a charitable deduction for the amount of each premium you pay in the future. In either case, upon your death, the policy proceeds paid to Washington Premier will be applied to the purpose you specify.
